Narrative Designer
Since I had previous gaming experience with the World of Darkness setting, I was responsible for keeping the game’s mood and the team’s work coherent with the reference material.
In addition, I wrote the plot and the characters‘ profiles and backgrounds.
Lastly, I wrote the storyboard and the dialogues for the cutscenes that our concept artist drew.
- You can read the narrative section I wrote in Red Nights‘ design documentation.
Video Editor
I worked with a voice actor for dubbing the dialogues of the game. Having the acted lines of dialogues and the drawn panels, I edited them into the final cutscenes.
As a final detail, I added subtitles to improve the readability of the cutscenes.
Here you can see the final version of the “Bad Ending” cutscene:
Level Designer
The game features a total of five levels (or “stages” as we called them during development).
I designed, blocked out and set-dressed with the help of the 3D artist two of these five stages: Stage 4 and Stage 5.

Project Manager
We were a team of six people with one month and a half to develop the game. In order to make the development more efficient, I took the role of project manager.
It was my first time coordinating a group. Mostly, my effort revolved around:
- taking track of the status of features (to be implemented, testing, implemented);
- assigning my teammates to the most urgent tasks;
- checking on the work of the team; and
- planning the development according to the time left.
For day-to-day communication, we used mostly Discord; to manage our tasks, we chose Trello.
Pitcher
At the end of the development, we pitched our game two times: firstly, to our teachers; secondly, to teachers from all the school’s venues.
I was chosen as the main pitcher for both the speeches. With my colleagues, I created a Google Slides presentation. Then, I pitched our game and its main features two times (plus many more times of practice).
I am quite comfortable in public speaking and I am proud of how I was able to present our game.
- You can see the slides that we created for our presentation.
